Fiona Apple makes it seem effortless with the live mixing out of the studio mode yet there's a tower of instruments, multiple vocal tracks, background noise, and a dozen genre switches per song. My only complaint: the barking dogs heard on a few tracks are kinda annoying-- I mean I get the home-recording aesthetic, but I don't think it adds anything. Otherwise 'Fetch The Bolt Cutters' is everything you could want (and not know you needed) from an album.
