There's some highlights that riff on 'Souljacker' or 'Beautiful Freak' diary stream-of-consciousness brilliance, but half the tracks stumble with a generic, fuzzed out bar music quality. Eels is such a great band that even their mediocre songs sound good-- so I'd still recommend this one.
