Johanna Samuels' style is like a dreamier, less baroque Elliott Smith style (think melancholia & chamber pop), only I suppose you could categorize as lowkey psych-country ? Regardless of genre, this LP is rich, insightful, and exudes a cool confidence and interesting story framing.
