This is the obscure 70’s power pop singer Van Duren whose music is influenced by Paul McCartney. This track is from his debut album ‘Are You Serious?’ The album you see here though is the forthcoming soundtrack album, which is set to be released next month I believe. Two Australians who fell in love with his first two albums recently flew to America and filmed this documentary, which is also set to hit certain cinemas around the world in the next couple of months. It is kind of like the Rodriguez ‘Searching for Sugarman’ doco I believe, in that these filmmakers set out to discover what happened to Van Duren and what he’s doing now etc. ♯vanduren ♯70s ♯powerpop ♯obscure ♯pop
